I don't normally write reviews but I just can't in good conscious over look the experience I've had with Hillbilly Pumping-Hauling Inc. To start with when they called to set up the time for the job to be done the time was set for "around 2(pm)" the following day. I had made arrangements to have a family member at the house in my place because my wife and I couldn't get off work. Two hours before the approx arrival time my wife received a call informing her that Hillbilly was at our house and nobody was there, the lady that called was from the office and had a very bad attitude. Because they were so early and weren't going to wait the 20-30 mins it was going to take for my family member to arrive, my wife had to take off work "for an emergency", luckily she works a couple miles from the house and was able to get home in about 7 mins. When my wife got to the house she found the driver/pump operator had backed his truck to within 5' of the already exposed septic PVC pipes. She paid the driver in CASH and he informed her there would be an additional charge because he had to dig, in order to "do the job" (keep in mind I had already paid someone else to expose the septic). After paying the additional charge to keep the peace and get the job done she left to get back to work. When she returned home after work she found some small ruts in the back yard which was to be expected but she also found that there was some very large ruts, about 6-8" (or deeper) around the corner of our asphalted driveway and that a 8'x10' corner of the asphalt had been very heavily damaged. She took pics and told me she would let me handle it. I arrived back in town the following week and called Hillbilly to see what could be done about the damage. The lady I spoke with was very nice until she got my address and then her attitude did a 180* and she told me someone would call me back. I was in town for only a few days and never received a return phone call. When I came back into town a couple weeks later, I called Hillbilly again to speak with someone about the damage and this time I spoke with Larry. I informed Larry that I had been waiting for a call and hadn't received one, at which time he became very defensive and rude. He basically said I was lying and had an "I don't care" attitude. However, after some words were exchanged he said he would come out and look. He arrived the next day (25 days after the job had been done), and he wasn't happy when he arrived. I showed the damage that was still visible and he told me "if I had been the one that had come out, I would have just left and never done the job" according to him I was the first and only complaint he'd had all year. I felt he didn't care and it was obvious he was going to do nothing to fix the asphalt which was my biggest concern. After seeing I had some fill material a few feet away, he did offer to have some dirt brought in to help fill the hole around the asphalt but he wasn't going to do anything about the asphalt damage. I told him his attitude made it seem like he thought I was a "spoiled little rich kid" and he said "exactly". I was appalled!!!! I told him I was sorry to have wasted his time do to the fact he didn't care enough about his customers to even offer an apology. I will never use this company again and it is my guess if I was his only complaining customer for the year, that it must have been a slow year for his business.
